Chiropractic Care for Children & Teenagers on the Mornington Peninsula

From the moment they start crawling through to the end of their teenage years, children's bodies go through an enormous amount of change. We love working with kids and teens — making every visit relaxed, age-appropriate and something they actually don't mind coming to. Our practitioners are experienced across all childhood age groups and adapt their approach to suit each individual.

What We Commonly See:

Primary school age (5–12):

  • Postural changes from heavy school bags and increased sitting

  • Growing pains and joint complaints

  • Sports injuries and activity-related complaints

  • Spinal check-ups as part of general health maintenance

  • Flat feet and lower limb concerns

Teenagers (13-18):

  • Neck and upper back tension from screen time and study

  • Scoliosis screening and postural assessment

  • Headaches related to posture and neck tension

  • Sports load management and injury support

  • Support during periods of rapid growth

We adapt everything to suit the age and temperament of each child. For younger kids that means making it fun, relaxed and non-intimidating. For teenagers it means being straight with them and explaining what we're seeing and why it matters in a way that actually resonates, not just talking to their parents over their heads. Our practitioners have specific training in paediatric chiropractic care and genuinely enjoy working with this age group.

Why Early Assessment Matters;

Small postural or spinal changes that develop during childhood are much easier to address early than once they become more established patterns. Think of it like a dental check-up for their spine — catching things early means less intervention later. As screen time increases and children spend more time sitting, we're seeing the impact of these habits earlier and earlier. Regular chiropractic check-ups are a simple, proactive step in supporting your child's long-term health.

  • Children can be assessed at any age. We see babies, toddlers, primary school aged children and teenagers regularly. Techniques are always adapted to be age and size appropriate.

  • Absolutely. Pain is often one of the last signals the body sends. Many parents bring their children in for regular check-ups as part of a proactive approach to their health, particularly if they are very active, carry a heavy school bag or spend significant time on screens.

  • Yes. Chiropractic care for children uses techniques specifically adapted for smaller, developing bodies. All of our practitioners are AHPRA registered, with additional postgraduate training in paediatric care.
